Changes to Impact Facebook Tracking

Impact is used as a measurement platform by hundreds of destination marketing organizations and agencies to audit their media spend, measure economic impact and make media investment decisions with their social media efforts, specifically Facebook.
Adara Impact allows DMOs to leverage two methods of tracking for their paid Facebook media efforts: impression tracking via view tags and click-tracking.  Recently, Facebook announced that they would be limiting measurement options of paid Facebook advertising by 3rd party research vendors after July 1, 2018.
While Facebook has changed their policy on 3rd party impression tracking via view tags, Adara Impact clients will continue to be able to utilize click-tracking for their paid Facebook advertising campaigns. For a refresh on the implementation process please refer to our click-tracking implementation guide.
For those clients which are currently running impression tracking via View Tags, please note all Facebook campaigns running with 3rd-party impression tracking implemented prior to July 1 will still be able to continue tracking till Oct. 1.
How will Adara measure Facebook in the future?
You will continue to be able to track your paid Facebook media efforts with Adara Impact click-tracking with no changes in implementation needed by you as the client.
Our product teams are working very closely with Facebook to explore full-funnel media measurement options. Our goal is to provide robust and accurate measurement across all campaigns. As we move forward with this process, we will continue to provide you timely updates.
For any questions or concerns please reach out to your Adara Account Manager.
