​What do you do at Adara?

I am the VP of Destination Media for North America and the newly formed Europe position.

​What do you love about working in the travel sector?

The relationships I develop, from inception to watching destinations grow in visitation as a result of solving problems and providing solutions that will help my customers succeed.

​What is your favorite holiday destination?

I don’t have one specifically. I am very adaptable: I love the beach, love the mountains, enjoy the cities and theme parks. I find that each destination has a unique experience, whether it’s an activity, culinary, culture or a place to relax. Seasons can dramatically change the destination experience and offer something entirely different on a return trip. Get out there and experience it!

​What is the biggest day to day challenge you face in your role, and how do you try to overcome that?

Educating the DMO Industry on Adara’s value proposition and debunking decade old standard industry measurements. But, our division has developed a strong message that is resonating by showcasing the integrity and accountability of our data, providing unparalleled analytics and establishing a constant presence in the market.

​What is the biggest challenge you face in the next 12 months and how are you preparing to face it?

We are excited to be expanding our efforts into Europe and the rest of the world! New markets always present a challenge, but we are looking forward to developing deeper relationships with Destination Marketing Organizations in the region. We believe our knowledge, expertise and data can help DMOs grow in new and significant ways.

​What is your #1 Bucket list travel destination?

Italy

​What are the three things you would take with you to a deserted island?

A genie in a bottle, a boat and an endless supply of “Captain”.
